Kraton Voted One of the Best Places to Work in Brazil By Revista Exame Business Magazine

Houston, TX October 3, 2006 -- Kraton Polymers do Brasil, a subsidiary of Kraton Polymers LLC (“Kraton”) was named one of the “Best Places to Work in Brazil” for 2006 by Revista Exame Business Magazine. The list celebrates employers whose groundbreaking benefits are helping redefine workplace standards across Brazil. Revista Exame has been conducting this survey for over ten years.

Revista Exame methodology considers the relationships between employees and their management, their jobs and their fellow workers. To apply for the Revista Exame 150 Best, Kraton employees initially answered a set of questions made available via the internet to our entire Kraton workforce located in Brasil. The magazine required that at least 75% of the company’s Brazilian based employees participate. The next step consisted of a site visit by the magazine. During this visit they interviewed 14 Kraton employees that were randomly selected, the only proviso that none of the Kraton employees interviewed could have any managerial responsibilities.

Ranking Kraton Among its Brazilian Peer Companies:

• 3rd best company to work for in the chemical / petrochemical sector, which had a record 17 of the 150 companies listed.
• 9th among the 150 companies, in the Identity Category which was described as "How much employees (a) believe that the company corresponds to his/her personal values, (b) know and agree with the company's objective, (c) feel professional recognition, and (d) perceive that the company cares about its employees, customers, suppliers, community and environment".
